The Lead Scout(s) enter the room alone and stand next to the flag stands positioned on the floor. The Color Guard must consist of three Scouts who will carry the American flag, the Montana flag, and the Banner flag. ALL SCOUTS IN THE CEREMONY MUST BE IN UNIFORM (Class A or Class B)! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! If you need additional Scouts, please recruit a Scout from another den.

Scout enters the room and waits for the audience's attention
"Will the audience please rise
for the presentation of the Colors"
After
the audience has risen
"Color Guard, present the colors"
Color
guard enters the room in single file with the American flag in the lead. The
color guard position themselves behind the flag stands with the flag raised a
few inches from the stand.
"Color Guard, post the
colors!"
The
Color Guard positions the flags in the flag holders. After releasing the flags they will take one step behind the flag. Their hands should be positioned at their sides.
"Scout salute"
Everyone
in uniform will face the flags and perform the Scout Salute. If a hat is part
of the uniform then the hat should not be removed.
Anyone who is not in uniform must remove their hats and place their right hand
over their hearts.

room and stands behind their flags. They are not to touch the flags yet.
“Scout Salute”
Everyone except the Color
Guard salutes

the Colors”
Now the Color Guard removes
the flags from the stands. The flags are to be a few inches above the stands.
“Color Guard, dismissed”
The Color Guard exits the
room in single file carrying the flags. The American
flag must go first. The Lead Scout(s) remain behind.
“Two”
Everyone at ease
